Game Development
Festiva
My team and I developed a VR game called “Festiva” centered around the theme of “The Little Red Dot.” Our objective was to create an immersive experience that educates players about the diverse festivals celebrated in Singapore. The game aimed to highlight the festivities of Singapore’s four major races: Chinese, Malay, Indians, and Others. Through this VR game, players could engage in cultural exploration and gain a deeper appreciation for different traditions. One notable feature we incorporated to enhance user experience was the language selection option. Players could effortlessly switch between English, Chinese, Malay, and Hindu languages, catering to different language preferences and accommodating those who may not be proficient in a particular language. Furthermore, we placed a strong emphasis on vibrant and contrasting colors throughout the game. This deliberate choice aimed to assist color-blind users in easily distinguishing objects and elements within the virtual environment.

3D Environment Dungeon, Sci-Fi and Vacation Island Walkthrough
The project entailed the development of 3 distinct environments. The first was a medieval-themed L-shaped path leading to a central room, the second was a Sci-Fi themed path that formed an infinite loop leading to a main room, while the third was vacation island with waterfall. Maya was utilized for asset modeling, and Substance Painter was employed for asset texturing in both cases. Unity served as the chosen platform for asset arrangement and integration, including the addition of a third-person character in the medieval and vacation Island environment and a first-person character in the Sci-Fi setting. Furthermore, all assets within the scenes were created entirely from scratch.
UI/UX Design
Bullet Bonanza Controller
The project involved developing “Bullet Bonanza,” a desktop game where it is a fast-paced game and players will shoot each other to win the game. The game utilized the WASD keys for character movement, while the space bar allowed the character to jump. The game challenged users’ strategic thinking and required quick reactions to avoid enemies and shoot them. Additionally, the project involved designing and prototyping a game controller to enhance the gaming experience with the use of Makey Makey. The project aimed to provide an engaging and interactive gaming experience for the users.
